Common questions

Is a vCISO enough for compliance frameworks?
For most mid-market obligations — insurance requirements, SOC 2 readiness, customer questionnaires, industry frameworks — yes: the seat provides the leadership and evidence layer, with our security operations underneath it.
How is this different from a security consultant?
Ownership and continuity. A consultant delivers an engagement; the vCISO carries your posture quarter over quarter, answers for it to your board, and is there when the incident call comes.
Do we need managed IT with ProIncident to use the vCISO?
Yes — and deliberately so. A vCISO answers for your security posture, which means the same firm has to run the operations underneath it: patching, monitoring, response. Strategy without hands on the environment is advice, not accountability. The seat sits on top of managed coverage, and the two are scoped together.
